mcnabb5 Yeah, I agree with bassassin. It would be cool if it was a bluefish or something from saltwater, but local lakes should be catch and release so people can continue to enjoy themselves.

gluttony32 wow...since when did this place become so hostile?..Not only do I work with Crandor the mighty but we fish together, On no occasion has he ever taken fish home. Since we are strictly catch and release. I am beyond positive that not a single member on this site would question their FATHER about keeping a fish. We should really measure what comes out of our mouth or typed by our fingers, in order to not come across as smug. Lets do a little more fishing and a little less judging.

mcnabb5 Aight Glut, I trust your word. By the way, I would question the hell outta my pops if he wanted to keep a fish because he knows my rules.

gluttony32 From what I hear bass is good eating...(somewhat unreliable sources tell me) I personally dont remember. I will however keep trout and salt water species when caught. I have had to eat catfish that my kids have caught and want to eat it, I would never say no to either of them, even if they wanted to eat a bass or pickerel (depending on what water it comes from). There was a time when everyone took home everything they caught...now we have progressed and have seen the effects of this reckless practice. That is why laws are in place plus rules and regulations ...in the long run a couple of fish here and there isnt going to hurt.....Its the people who dont follow these rules who ruin it for everyone...If I took every fish I caught home...why there would be none left for anyone to catch...
