Comment: I've caught walleyes on flutter spoons, trolling crankbaits and bouncing jigs in Virginia. This is still an elusive species in the commonwealth and big fish like we see up north are rare. Our biggest in Virginia so far is 25" and was caught on Philpott Res. The New River probably is the best hot spot for them however.

Comment: caught my walleyes when i went on a trip to quebec. awesome fish, very toothy. they seemed to like spoons and spinners. as well as trolling whole nightcrawlers. it's one of the only freshwater fish i'll eat. the fillets dredged in flour/cornmeal and fried in hot oil are a tasty treat!

Comment: I saw my first walleye last week in some shallow water. I bounced my lure off his back and he didn't even flinch. he was probably 20 inches long and ugly as s***ake.
