Great for small mouth and trout. There are miles and miles of river to fish. Anywhere you see whirlpools or cover is good fishing. I fish my way home from work every week and 90% of time I catch fish mostly small mouth bass. There are plenty of brook trout and Rainbow trout to be caught as well.

This is one of my favorite places to catch bass. I always catch at least one good fish every time I fish it.

The action lasts from late spring until fall for bass. The kicker is it is a great ice fishing spot come winter time.

There is a boat launch across from the Grafton Cheese shop. I have seen people launch bass boats but it is very shallow in places so a smaller boat is better.

It is the junction between the West River and the CT. River so many species of fish feed here. Blue Gill , Perch, Trout ,Large mouth and small mouth Bass even Crappie.

Well if you aren't sold on this location yet. I caught a small pike here and moments later my wife caught her first large mouth, a very big fish. I released both so go get'em. Check out the photos on my home page.

This is the first time I caught a Rainbow trout I ended up catching 3 of them in 2 hours.

If you like perch and small mouth bass then this body of water is for you too. There are many little hot spots including the dam outlet, a large whirlpool of a fishing hole holding more trout.

There is a beach and picnic area as well as a boat launch (for small boats only.) The Dam Diner is minutes away and serve some of the best breakfast in southern VT.

Live bait works the best here worms and crawlers will give you the best results.
