Smallmouth

Looking for some spots to get big smallmouth. Preferably i would like to be able to fish from shore, so like a river or something, but i'd also like other suggestions as long as its easy to fish in a kayak. I usually fish for smallmouth in the South Branch but they dont really get any bigger than 13 or 14 inches.

The Raritan is lookin real good right now if your anywhere near there , try around Raritan . I am not sure which is the North or South Branch . Never fished it just heard about an area of the Raritan river near Raritan .

Yea I'm right by New Brunswick, I usually fish the raritan river south branch for smallmouth but I'm gonna try by the somerset dam soon
