in south jersey ( sewell -turnersville area ). We drove 15 minutes to atkinson park, in front of the police station. There's a nice pond/lake there. Fished for an hour, Jeremy got a nice bass ( he didn't save the picture in time on the phone ). We left there and drove 2 minutes to a small pond at the blackwood train station ( from the early 1900's ). To overgrown to fish here, gotta wait til it's cold. We then drove 5 minutes to wash.twp lake park. Found a sign that said cedar pond. We got out and walked to a small pond that said no fishing. There were 53 koi fish swimming around, it's shallow and thetops of the fish were out of the wate. We followed the trail about 500 yards through the woods and found cedar pond. It's small. and there aren't many places to fish from, but the trail that goes around it it wide and clear. Some guy told us about a bigger lake about a qtr. mile from where we were, so we walked 15 minutes and finally found an abandoned park with 3 buildings and a huge pavilion and a huge lake with clear water - no algae or underwater weeds. There were 2 docks, so we walked onto them and Jeremy got a small catfish. We fished here about 30 minutes. You could see your lure 20 feet away, and there wasn't any big fish anywhere. They are in the middle of the lake and we can't cast out to where they're hiding.
It was an awesome time and it was the 1st time we fished any of these spots...we will be going back to all of them. On the way home, we pulled out of the park and 20 seconds later we saw some dude fishing behind some houses off the road we were on!! A niced sized lake that we will fish soon, probably next weekend!
