Augusta Maine Fishing Report

Cobbosseecontee Lake

Went to Cobbossee several years back and had the best 5 fish limit of my life, all in a 1 hour window at the end of the day. We were staying at Lakeside motel and cottages and had fished the morning, cam in for lunch and went back out for the afternoon. It was about 4pm when we drove over a hump we did not know what there and it did not show up on the map. We turned around and dropped a marker on the top of it and then backed off into deeper water. Started to throw the carolina rig and on my 2nd cast I caught my avitar fish and my PB bass. She went 7.8lbs on the digi. A few casts later I had a 4lber on, a few more casts a 3+. Moved up to the marker and started casting out into 20' of water and hooked up with a 6.4lber and then about 20 minutes later the final fish of the limit at 5lbs. 5 fish for 26.6 lbs in about an hours time, all on the carolina rig.
