Went out with the full intention of a long day of flipping seeing how is was blazing sunny. They weren't where we thought they would be so I started slinging the frog. Started slow with a few fish here and there and then the place lit up like a christmas tree. My partner in crime got a nice 4.3LB and soon after I got the most subtle bite I think I've ever seen on the frog. Almost didn't set the hook cause I wasn't sure he took it, but he did. Hooked him and instantly knew he was a good one. Got him in the boat 6.15LB. About 20 fish total. Good day...

Headed back to the same area that we were getting them on Tuesday. Got out there and again started slinging the frog. Had about 5 in the boat in the first 20 minutes. Circled around the pond a bit and got about 5 more. It started to slow down about 2 hours after we got there but on the way out we got two nice ones back to back. I hooked mine through his tongue so he was bleeding a bit, but not to worry, he was alright...

Decided to go pond hopping down on the South Shore. Wanted to check out a few ponds that I've spotted. Got into the first small pond and its real weedy. Start slinging the frog. Bam! Started getting them over and over again. Got about 10 in this pond with the lunker being about 3.5lbs by Nick. Loaded up the boat and headed to another pond a few miles away. Once again... Started slinging the frog. Right of the bat we were smashing them left and right. It was sunny so we were putting the frog in tight right int the bushes, popping it a few times with a slow retrieve and they were shooting right out and hammering it. About 20 fish later we called it a day. Lunker of the day was about 3.7lbs

Went out to Canton Res for the day. Wanted to hit it before the back coves got real weedy. Slow day at first pounding the shore line without much luck. Once we got back into the lilly pads I got a decent 2lber on the swim bait. Sun popped up and we got a few in tight to the brush. About to head out and I spot a promising bush. Sling my swim bait in but I overshot my target and hooked the line over a branch. Bait falls into the water and BAM! I wasn't sure I could get the hook set like that but I gave it everything I had. Sure enough I got em and dragged him to the boat. Nice fish. Lunker of the day.

Went out to a couple local ponds with my buddy. Got a few small LM and some pickerel at Woods pond in the morning. Decided to go somewhere else. Started flipping the brush. First flip and I set the hook into a good one. Fight him to the boat and he gave me hell. As I was pulling him up into the boat he thrashed and threw the hook. Got a good look at him and he was BIG! I was beside myself. I almost couldn't fish anymore. Got it together and kept going. Toward the end of the day I see a nice tree laying in the water. Flip in and let it fall through the branches. Line took off like it was shot out of a cannon! Set the hook and he darts under the boat nearly pinning my rod to the side. Yank him out and my buddy grabs him. 5.5LBs Happy ending to my day. Got about 5 or 6 more 2-3 lbers throughout the day. Not bad. Good start to the season

Went out to try a new location that a buddy and I had spotted. Got out on the water and it was real windy and we could barely stay still long enough to get a few casts in. Got a few Small mouth and a perch dragging plastics. Got to the cove we were looking for which gave us some cover from the wind and started throwing the frog and flipping into the grass. Got a few here and there over the next hour or so. A couple 3lb LMB on the frog and a few 2+ lb LMB flipping. Figured we should head home to make sure we had enough battery to make it back. On the way home we decided to hit this river we spotted. As we were drifting down we started seeing baitfish jumping ahead and we started flipping the mats. About 50 ft down I see a nice tree submerged in the water. I flip in and he smashed it on the drop. Set the hook and he gives me the fight of my life. I get a look at him as he comes out of the map and I see that he's a big boy. Flip em into the boat. weighed in at 5lb even. Smash a few more flipping on the way out and call it a day. All in all good day considering the wind gave us hell.
