Spent a week in Maine for the 4th. Got out 3 straight days.
First day went to Crescent Lake in Raymond Maine. Got out early before the Woo-Hooers and tried to fish off shore. Found some humps and drop offs. Got a couple light taps on the C-Rig but no hook ups. Through a drop shot, T-Rig, C-Rig and jig but nothing. Headed into the river that connects Crescent Lake to Panther Pond. This is where I ended up spending the remainder of the day. After seeing fish breaking the surface I put on a spook but no luck. I get a little further down the river and there were spare pads, ultra clear water. I decided to tie a frog on and over the course of the next 6 hours caught 12-15 bass. Most were keeper size, some quality but no giants.
Second day went to Dundee Pond in Raymond. Bit of a carry to get the boat in. Picked off a small LM going up the river to Dundee then got a SM on a crankbait. Thunder rolled in so I headed out.
Last day got a full day in on Thomas Pond. Tons of off shore structure. I fished humps and boulders for 3 hours with not a bite. Finally made it to a point and found some boulders. Started with the c-rig and picked off 2 right away. Threw the drop shot and picked up 3 more. One really good smallie. All good size 2+ pounds.
Over the course of the next 4 or 5 hours picked up a fish here and there, but nothing consistent.

Got out for the second time this year. First day was Friday and we had consistent flags all day long. Some of the biggest perch I have seen and a bass well over 4lbs. No pictures from that day.
Got out again Sunday at the same place and before we even had 4 tip ups set we had a flag. Go racing over and pull the picture fish out. PB bass through the ice for me. Good sign for things to come. But those good things never really came. We had some fish, but our hook up ratio was horrid. I think we had 18 flags between 7am and 4pm and we landed 5 or 6. The one bass, 1 small dart and the rest were perch.
The rain tonight and warm weather tomorrow is going to ruin the fun for awhile

Stopped off 109 in Dedham and went down to the bank of the Charles. Light rain, cloudy, comfortable temp. I started throwing a white double blade spinner and hit nothing for about 25 minutes. I throw out a senko and hit two small LMB. I decided to use a round jig head with a Havoc pit boss and bounce it across the river bottom....first cast hung up and my line eventually breaks. So I tie another on toss it out to the middle of the river. It feel it hit the bottom and feel the big thump, I set the hook and my rod bends over and this thing is diving in the bottom and what I think is wrapped up in weeds. Slowly dragging it in and it gets about 2 feet from the bank and I see the head of about a 12 pound snapping turtle. I was PISSED I thought I had a monster that got hung up. I got my long needle nose pliers and went to drag it out but he got his claw on the braid and frayed/snapped the line. So there goes jig head #2. I hook my last one and next cast catch about 1.5-2 lbs LMB. Switch over to a buzz bait and catch one about 2 feet off shore buzzing across the weed line. I send it back out that way and get another hit of something bigger but missed. At this point I get excited and sped my cast out there and wrapped the buzz bait around a low hanging branch.....lure number 3 gone haha. Rough day but at least it was productive and eventful for 2 hours of fishing

Took my stepbrother out for a few hours this morning. Wind certainly made it tough but was able to each pull in only one fish. I pulled in a 1.5-2 lbs LMB on a black and blue jig about 10 feet from shore. He got a 11 inch yellow perch on a silver senko. We didn't have a trolling motor only a gas motor so it was tough to get into the cover especially with the rocks in that area.

Fished off Parmenter street, maybe a half mile. Spots of sun early, turned into sprinkle, turned into rain. Alternated between sprinkles and rain. Went from 7pm to 9pm.
