My life is all about fish. I manage and sell fish for a seafood company on the fish pier in boston and the reason for that is cause I've fished my whole life. It got me the career I have today.

Went to the mystic river to try for some holdovers in the saltwater side. First cast probably a 30 incher followed by a schoolie. Both caught on a swim shad. Couldn't believe it! Heading back this weekend.

Very cold upon arrival like a toasty 18 degrees. Started at gate 6 just walking around casting lures. No action. Went to gate 19 took a nice walk around and finally got my PB laker. Nothing enormous but made me very happy. I've had a great month there been there about 11 times only struck out twice. Caught my fish today on a 3/4 oz crippled herring.

Fishing a spot I know at Winthrop beach Tuesday night on the outgoing tide, using a cotton Cordell Redfin. My go to surf lure. There for about an hour then finally a fish crushed it. I'm guessing around 32 inches. A fatty.

Hit up the Saugus river on the dusk high tide trying for my first striper of the year. Fish were breaking the surface, tried every lure I had almost. Finally connected on the 1oz crippled herring.

Rainy and raw this morning. Took the canoe out with my buddy. Caught a total of 6 sm mouths, 1 lg mouth, and 1 pickerel. All were caught on crankbaits. Awesome day. Nothing huge, but nothing tiny either.

Brought out my new light tackle salt water rod to launch a crippled herring into the depths of the chu. No lakers today but got a nice smally! I'm pumped, 2 for 2 with fish there so far this year lol. Just wished it wasn't an hour am a half drive.

Took a personal fish day from work. Decided to go to the chu. Very windy and rainy. Fished for about 3 hours got the second laker of my life on a last master bounced off the bottom. Small fish but I was stoked.

Went there around 9 am this morning. ice between 4-5 inches roughly, some spots less. Caught 4 pickerel all on shiners, didn't explore too many areas cuz of being cautious of ice thickness. All in all a fun morning though.
