Last weekend I was down as Mashpee-Wakeby for my NEBA tournament. Needless to say after 8 hours of fishing we were the only boat out of 35 to get the big "goose egg". I was losing my mind mentally thinking how could this happen when over 1/2 the boats got limits with some good fish in there.
Today I went out to Singletary with my buddy for pay back.
We were on the water from 10Am-3Pm. There was a decent wind and whitecaps in the main body of water. We worked the shoreline catching a bunch of 2+lbs fish and then a handful of dinks. All fish were in less than 3ft of water and caught on brush hogs and bighammer swimbaits. Big fish was 6.10lbs and big 5 weighed in at 16lbs.
All in all, I should sleep good tonight with peace of mind that I got payback

Took the boat out to Webster Lake after work from 5-7. Stayed in the South pond and wanted to have fun so I only threw frogs into dense lily pads. First cast had a bass explode on my KVD sexy frog...wasn't even fully paying attention trying to get the trolling motor going, luckily he didnt want to spit it out for a few seconds. 5 minutes later had another bass swing and miss 4 times in a row until he gave up. 5:30 gave me my second bass and then nothing after except a beautiful sunset. Batteries died in my scale but im guessing one was 2 and the other 2 1/2
