Open Water Fisherman Converted To Ice Fishing Fishing Report
Ended up doing a lot of ice fishing this winter to keep my sanity, and gotta say i really enjoyed it. I just jigged, no tilts. Got a lot of bass in the 1-2lb range and my biggest three bass of the season were 3lbs, 3lb13oz, and one that i didn't have the scale for sadly but was all of 5lbs, and i caught all of them on a ultralight panfish jiggin rod with 2lb test outa 20+ fow, was a lot of fun. Also got a lot of crappie with my personal best that went between 2lb7oz and 2lb 8oz on two different digital scales. Definitely ready for some open water now!

There is nothing better to hear about someone going on the Ice and catching Fish. I brought out a couple of first timers who couldn't wait to back, they caught fish just like they would from shore, it's just a little colder and just as fun. Great to hear that story!
