Lake St Canoe Trip Fishing Report

Got out early just before sunrise. Paddled north along the western shore. Stopped to fish the edges of the lily pad beds and picked up a nice largemouth on a top water popper. About an hour went by with no hits, so decided to drift south along the weed line. I switched to a watermelon senko and immediately got smashed by a 3 lb'er. Made the trip worthwhile.
