Great Pond (kingston Lake) Kingston, N.H.

Great Pond doesn't seem that great for largemouth. I fished all over this place and threw almost everything in my box. didn't catch much, pretty frustrating. Online I read that the oxygen levels are very low at this lake so I figured I would focus most of my fishing around vegetation being that vegetation provides oxygen, but couldn't catch a cold. Haven't explored the entire lake, seen some guys on bass boats on spots that look promising, I'll try the spots next time I go back. Seen some blow-ups in the pads, bass smashing bugs . I'll bring my frog set-up next time.

Comments

  • I used to fish that place with my dad, about 8 years ago, we used to pull in nice bass all evening with rapala's and live shiners.

  • Try Inline spinner baits similiar to Musky Baits (obviously smaller though), or flashy spoons, pickerel love chasin things down dont be afraid to really burn the bait

  • what do u guys use for pickerel i have this great pickerel pond near my house that people pull like 2-3ft pickerel out of but i cant get anything

  • Sounds a lot like the days I've been having recently. I've used everything I had in my tackle box and still nothing, a small one here and there, but basically zip.
